Mr Bhavesh Trivedi, 47, had tried every weight loss drug, diet, and exercise program he could find to trim weight off his 89-kilo frame. Finally, a family friend recommended Zydus Hospital’s GObesity Center, which offers the surgical weight loss accredited by an expert Bariatric Surgeon Dr Parag Patel.

“I never actually realized how difficult the normal things I did on a daily basis really were because I was just so used to doing them,” says Mr Bhavesh. “Now I have a ton of energy!”

It wasn’t until he made the transition that he fully realized how tired he was of aching knees and ankles; of failing to fit into seats of his Chair; of huffing and puffing while climbing through stairs.

Mr Bhavesh Trivedi made up mind for surgery and met Dr Parag Patel, Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon at Zydus Hospitals, whom he trusted immediately. Presented with several surgical options, he chose the one with minimally invasive procedure. “I liked and trusted Dr. Parag from the second I met him,” says Mr Bhavesh. “He was down-to-earth and took a genuine interest in me. His staff also was awesome, taking the time to get to know me and genuinely caring about my success.”

With a weight loss of 24 Kgs, surgery also solved Hypercholesterolemia, where High cholesterol can limit blood flow, increasing the risk of a heart attack or stroke. His sleep apnea had also gone after surgery. “This surgery isn’t only about losing the physical weight; it’s also about gaining life,” says Mr Bhavesh. “It’s about losing the mindset and lifestyle that got me to 89kgs. It reinvents you as a person.”

“All this weight may seem impossible to escape from, but it is, in fact, totally possible,” Mr Bhavesh says. “With the help of my family and friends and everyone at Zydus Hospitals, I gained a better and much healthier life and am eternally grateful to everyone that helped me along the way.”
